It could be any number of things, from a stuck fur ball to him swallowing something to him having eaten too much dry food and being dehydrated. The best thing to do is to take him to the vet as if he has swallowed something he shoudln't have it could be stuck around something important.

Good Luck and I hope this helps

If your kitten is weeing and pooping normally, then that is evidence that things are moving as usual and there is no blockage or anything untoward. Gagging and some vomiting is pretty normal behaviour in cats; it's what they do. If at all concerned though, then seek professional advice from a vet. Better to err on the side of caution where kittens are concerned.
References :
Sounds like he may have either some of the suffering or a fur ball stuck, if he still doing it now take him to the vets as they will be able to get it out for him.
References :
EXCUSE ME PEOPLE - please don't say "nothing to worry about" when we have NO way of knowing if this kitten is OK or not. Get that kitten to a VET. It very well could have eaten some of that polystyrene which could cause a blockage in its intestine to lead to DEATH.

How can you ask this on here? We're NOT VETS nor can we see your kitten. Please be responsible and GET IT TO A VET!
References :
Apply a little vaseline petroleum jelly to your cuts nose. The cat will lick off the jelly , lubricating any hair or obstraction in it's stomach so it can pass easily through the digestive system.
References :
My guess is he has a fur ball and is trying to get rid of it. I feed my cat nothing but dry food. Switch to
Purina Kitten Chow. It is smaller in size and
easier to digest. Cats usually will not swallow any thing made of metal of cotton stuffing. It doesn't taste good. If you have a yard let your kitten eat
some grass. This will help her with digestion and even help her dislodge a fur ball. It is natures way
for settling upset tummies in animals. If your kitty starts to become lethargic and acts like it is in pain then call a vet asap.
References :
Sounds like he is trying to get something out of his throat. You might take him to a vet. Keep a close eye on him till you can atleast call a Vet and ask. Good luck
